BCA is important to because I have gotten the letter after having a mammagram saying something showed up and I need to come back in for more test. I have also had an Aunt and several friends that have had Breast Cancer. By making people aware of the screening process lives can be saved until a cure can be found.

This is very hard to share. My sister in law had both breast removed and took chemotherapy for her cancer; and because of the situation between my younger brother her husband, I couldn't be there for her except in prayer. Since her husband didn't work, she had to work while being sick from the treatments. I so wanted to help her financially and emotionally support as like I did when she was going through nursing college. Then a few years ago, I had a spot of cancer that the. Nurse told me was slow growing removed off my left breast. No treatments needed by the grace of my Saviour Jesus Christ. My heart is heavy still with the situation between me and my younger brother and a older sister. So anyone who reads this, please pray for me. My email is

I can't thank you enough for encouraging you viewers to self check and get those mammograms!
In May 2016 I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC). IBC is a rare and aggressive breast cancer. It's treatment is a little backwards from traditional breast cancer in that you under go chemotherapy first to control the cancer from spreading, then the mastectomy, and then radiation. I'm currently between my last chemo and a double mastectomy.
IBC is also different from other breast cancer in that you have outward signs. Red, inflamed, tender breast are just a few of the signs, which are often misdiagnosed as infection.
Before my diagnosis, I had never heard of IBC, which at last data, counts for only 3-5% of breast cancer in the United States. Today, in the middle of my sickness, I take every opportunity to inform as many as possible of the dangers of "Oh it's nothing".
I caught mine very early, and thankfully had a Dr that just didn't think it was infected, and sent me for a mammogram and sonogram.
Never, NEVER pass off something wrong with your body as nothing, ladies. Get checked. Stay strong. Fight hard!
Thank you for the acknowledgement of BCAwareness. I pray continued Blessings on you and your family! And thank you for the time you surrender for our entertainment!

  36. Hello Deena thank you for this awesome giveaway and yes you are right you have the best ones!!' My name is Selenia Carrico-Morgan (carricoselenia@icloud.com) I am from the good old Hospitality State of Mississippi breast cancer is so important to me on so many levels being a nurse I have met some beautiful and loving women that are fighting breast cancer daily and some that fought until they just couldn't fight anymore. It's also important to me because my aunt was diagnosed last week and my best friend was diagnosed in 2010 went into remission and was diagnosed again in 2015 it has spread into her brain and she isn't responding to chemo anymore. She is only 45 and she told me just the other day if it wasn't for her 12 year old daughter then she would stop fighting because she is tired but she said I don't want Maddy to think I was a quitter. So I have such a huge heart for all the women that have beat it and the ones that didn't. So to all of those beautiful women i admire you for fighting and never giving up. God Bless You All!!

Breast cancer awareness is very important to me because my maternal grandmother, who had a big impact on my faith, passed away from cancer when I was 17. By the time she went to the doctor it had spread all over her body, so they don't know where it originated. But one of her wishes was that her children and grandchildren would have cancer screenings done regularly. So since her death all the women have made sure to have yearly checkups.
